Suich, a Swiss app for independent VTC drivers
Suich SA is a platform connecting drivers and riders, designed in Switzerland and based in Geneva. Riders order an instant or scheduled ride in the Suich app; the request is sent to the nearest partner driver, who decides whether to accept it. Suich provides no transport service: the transport contract is concluded directly between the driver and the rider.
In practice, a Suich driver is not an employee. They work as an independent driver, which means:
- the freedom to accept, decline or ignore each ride request;
- free management of their schedule, in compliance with working and rest time legislation;
- the possibility to build their own clientele and give their contact details to riders;
- responsibility for their taxes, VAT and social security contributions, like any self-employed person.
The Suich service is currently available to riders in the canton of Geneva, including Geneva Airport.
Requirements and documents to drive with Suich
To be activated as a partner driver, you must hold the authorisations required for the professional transport of passengers in Geneva. Documents are uploaded in the driver app at sign-up and must be kept up to date.
Driver authorisations
- B121 professional driving licence (professional transport of passengers).
- Professional VTC driver card issued by the canton of Geneva, or other cantonal authorisation required for the activity. The steps are detailed in our guide to the VTC card in Geneva (in French).
- For trips from or to Geneva Airport: airport access badge. Airport-related costs (parking, etc.) remain at the driver's expense.
Vehicle
- Vehicle compliant with federal and cantonal requirements for the professional transport of passengers (cleanliness, CO₂ emissions), registered with VTC plates.
- Insurance covering the commercial transport of passengers.
- Vehicle assigned to one or more Suich categories: SUICH, Confort, Berline or Van.
- Vehicle costs (fuel, insurance, maintenance, cleaning, taxes) are borne by the driver.

How the Suich driver app works
- Receiving rides. Each request is sent to the nearest driver, with the pickup location, destination, distance and price. You accept or decline with full knowledge.
- Price set in advance. The fare (VAT included) is known before departure. It was defined in consultation with the driver associations Alliance VTC Genève and VTC-Genève. In periods of high demand a surcharge may apply; in case of unexpected events (traffic jams, etc.), the price is adjusted at the end of the ride.
- Instant and scheduled rides. Riders can order a ride right away or book it in advance (airport, business meeting, event).
- In-app communication. Once the ride is accepted, driver and rider communicate directly through the app.
- Transparent ratings. Drivers and riders rate each ride (three-star system). Ratings are not a disciplinary tool and do not influence ride assignment; no minimum rating is required.
- Dashboard. Your earnings and ride history are available at any time in the app.
Ride payments and Suich commission
The rider pays for the ride with the credit or debit card saved in the app. Payments are processed by Stripe and the ride amount is paid directly to the driver to the bank account provided at sign-up, after deduction of the Suich commission.
- Suich commission: 23 % of the ride price. VAT is not applicable on top of this commission.
- Tips (in the app or in cash): 100 % for the driver, no commission.
- Rider discount codes: fully covered by Suich, the driver always receives the full price of the ride.
- Cancellation by the rider more than five minutes after your acceptance: cancellation fees are charged by Suich.
Suich is not the driver's employer and guarantees neither ride volume, nor working time, nor minimum income. Your earnings depend on your activity. The detailed rules are in the terms and conditions for drivers (in French).
The steps to become a Suich partner driver
- Submit your application via the form below: first name, last name, email, phone, VTC card (yes / no) and city.
- Our team gets back to you after receiving your file to review your situation and documents.
- Create your account in the Suich driver app and upload your documents (B121 licence, VTC card, insurance, airport badge where applicable).
- Receive the activation confirmation by email: your account is active and you can start receiving rides.

Which documents do I need to become a Suich VTC driver in Geneva?

Can I apply without a VTC card?

What commission does Suich take on rides?
Suich takes a 23 % commission on the ride price. The ride amount is paid directly to the driver via Stripe, to the bank account provided at sign-up, after deduction of this commission. Tips go entirely to the driver, with no commission.
