Frequently asked questions
about the Suich app

Suich is the Swiss ride app available in the canton of Geneva. This page brings together the most frequent questions from riders and drivers: where the service is available, how to book, what a ride costs, how to pay or cancel, which vehicles are offered, how your data is protected and how to become a partner driver.

01

Availability and area served

Where is the Suich app available?

Suich is available to riders across the whole canton of Geneva, at any time, depending on partner driver availability. Expansion to other Swiss cities is planned; no other city is active for now.

Does Suich work in Lausanne or the canton of Vaud?

Not for riders at this time. Driver applications, however, are open for Geneva and Lausanne, ahead of future launches.

Does Suich serve Geneva Airport?

Yes. You can order or schedule a ride from or to Geneva Airport. Partner drivers who serve the airport hold the airport access badge. See the page Geneva airport transfer.

Can I order a ride to neighbouring France or the canton of Vaud?

The pickup point or destination must be in the canton of Geneva. A trip that leaves the canton depends on the driver's acceptance and the applicable rules; in every case the price is shown before you order.

Is Suich available at night and at weekends?

Yes, at any time, depending on the partner drivers online. For a sensitive time, schedule your ride in advance in the app.

02

Booking a ride

How do I book a ride with Suich?

Download the app on iPhone or Android, enter your pickup point and destination, choose your vehicle category, then order immediately or schedule the ride. Payment is made by card, TWINT or cash. Details are on the page how it works.

Can I schedule a ride in advance?

Yes. Choose the pickup time you want in the app: ideal for a flight, a train at Cornavin, a business meeting or an event.

Can I book for someone else?

The ride is linked to your account and your payment card. You can enter a pickup point different from your location and tell the driver through the app the name of the person to pick up.

How long do I have to wait for a driver?

For an instant ride, the app shows the estimated arrival time of the nearest driver before you confirm. This time varies with the hour, the location and the number of drivers online.

How do I contact my driver?

As soon as the driver has accepted the ride, you can message or call them directly from the app.

03

Prices, payment and cancellation

How much does a Suich ride cost?

The price depends on the estimated duration and distance of the trip and on the vehicle category. It is shown in the app, VAT included, before you order. No fare grid is published on this website.

Can the price change during the ride?

The price is set before departure. In case of unexpected events (traffic jams, diversion), it may be adjusted at the end of the ride within the announced rules. In periods of high demand, any surcharge is shown before you confirm the order.

How do I pay?

With the credit or debit card saved in the app (charged automatically at the end of the ride), with TWINT or in cash. In every case you receive a payment confirmation.

Can I pay in cash or with TWINT?

Yes. Suich accepts bank cards in the app, TWINT and cash. The optional tip can be given in cash or in the app.

Can I cancel a ride?

Yes, at any time before pickup. Cancellation is free within five minutes of the driver's acceptance; after that, cancellation fees are shown in the app.

Where can I find my receipts?

In the app's ride history: each trip shows its details and its receipt, which is also sent by email.

Is the tip included?

No, it is optional. You can give it in the app or in cash; it goes entirely to the driver.

04

Vehicles

Which vehicle types can I choose?

Four categories: SUICH for everyday trips, Confort for a more spacious ride, Berline for a premium trip and Van to travel as a group. See the page vehicles with driver.

How do I recognise the vehicle at pickup?

The app shows the make, model and registration plate of the vehicle, as well as the driver's name, as soon as the ride is accepted.

Can I travel with bulky luggage or an animal?

Choose the Van category for bulky luggage. For an animal, let the driver know through the app as soon as the ride is accepted; transport depends on their agreement.

05

Safety and personal data

Are the drivers professionals?

Yes. Partner drivers are independent professionals holding the B121 professional licence and the professional VTC card issued by the canton of Geneva. Their documents are checked before the account is activated.

Is Suich a taxi?

No. Suich is a ride app (VTC): the driver is requested through the app, on demand or in advance, with a price agreed before the ride. In Geneva, taxis and VTC vehicles are two distinct categories governed by the cantonal LTVTC law. See taxi vs ride app in Geneva.

Is my personal data safe?

Yes. Your data is processed in accordance with Swiss data protection law and is used only to provide the service. See the privacy policy (in French).

What should I do if I lost something in the vehicle?

Go to your ride history, select the ride concerned and write a message in the "Leave a note" section: your driver is notified directly.

How do I rate a ride?

After each trip, the app invites you to rate your driver (three-star system) and leave a comment. The driver can rate you too.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Profile, Personal information, Delete account, then confirm. Some data may be kept for a limited period where the law requires it.
